NEW YORK — Two years ago, he was leading Valor Christian High School to a fifth consecutive Colorado state high school championship. On Saturday night, Christian McCaffrey will be in New York as one of three finalists for the Heisman Trophy.
McCaffrey, a dynamic sophomore running back for Stanford, was named a finalist for college football’s most prestigious award on Monday. He’ll be joined by Alabama’s Derrick Henry and Clemson’s Deshaun Watson.
