Amblyomma americanum or the lone star tick, is most commonly found in the south eastern U.S., however over the previous 20 or so years the tick has vastly expanded its territory to cover most of the eastern and parts of central United States. Aggressive and infectious this tick carries with it a disease different then any other, ‘vegetarianism’, that is right a bite from this tick will literally force you to become a vegetarian.
