a quick Google shows overall Wal-Mart employees are very satisfied with their jobs and while they do start a close to minimum $7.38/hour cashiers and sales associates can earn $11 to 12/hr. While these are not a very highly paid positions they do seem to be able to fill those openings.
Here is the link

I am no fan of Wal-Mart, I confess I did buy a $4.00 camp stove top toaster last fall from Wal-Mart. Coleman brand made in the USA
Arguing with a liberal is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how well you play chess, the pigeon just knocks over all the pieces, craps on the board, spews some unintelligible profanities, and struts around like he won."

Hobie Alter stated building surfboards at his Laguna Beach house in 1950. I bought my first Hobie surfboard in 1964 from his shop in Dana Point.

The Red Baron wasn't particularly patriotic - he just wanted to fly. He applied to both the German Army Air Service and the British Royal Air Force.
Freedom of speech carries with it the responsibility to know when to shut up.

That's because they're collecting Social Security and the check from Walmart pays for Medicaire Part D.

The term "the whole 9 yards" came from W.W.II fighter pilots in the
South Pacific. When arming their airplanes on the ground, the .50
caliber machine gun ammo belts measured exactly 27 feet, before
being loaded into the fuselage. If the pilots fired all their ammo
at a target,it got "the whole 9 yards."
