Please Read- New way to post Youtube videos.

Hello,

Well with Chrome eliminating flash it occurred to me that people are going to be unable to run our youtube videos the way our bbcodes work because they work on flash. Part of the reason I figured this out is because I deleted an old version of java last night and none of the videos on chrome will work for me anymore. SO, I have changed the codes around a bit. They now work off an iframe and we have to use youtube's embed code or ID INSTEAD of the address in the address bar.

Two ways to post a video.

With Youtube 3 -you will only need to enter the ID number (I will get a tutorial here shortly)

With Youtube 4 tag- you post the embed link. Once again (I will get a tutorial here shortly)

The other tags are deleted.

Also, keep in mind when people cannot see a video, for whatever reason, they can't even click it so if you want to add a link of the video at the bottom too it will help us.

To use

1. Click on Share

2. Copy the code below video

3. Paste and use the tag.



To use the Youtube 3 Tag:


2. Copy the Youtube ID (after v=) in the address bar of the video

3. Paste and use the Youtube3 tag.





Please use Youtube3 and Youtube4 tags going forward.

Nice, because I took out the old code I knocked out all the old videos. I can fix them, only at this point by typing a new item in the box and re submit. If you see old videos that are having issues post them here and I will fix. :(

I am really upset with myself. All the old ones are not working even though the code is there. I can do it only if I or you if you own the post put a number or letter in and submit. I am still researching to see if there is another way to fix it.

It was my fault. The thing is there are not going to work when the stop flash too anyway, but still.

The old ones will work if you resubmit but it will not resubmit unless you add or take away something.

Okay, here is the deal on youtube.


We started this forum in October, 2010. Back then most video was run with flash and our only choice of code was flash. Recently, the internet has decided to get rid of flash and Chrome, in their infinite wisdom (NOT), decided to do it early. Some people are still able to get flash with Chrome if they have an old version of Java, which may not be safe. So, as much as I did mess up the old flash code, we have switched to an Iframe, if we try to fix it everyone is going to have issues when flash is gone. You will not be able to see the video and it won't have a link to get to the video.

That all being said this may be a good thing. At least when flash is gone, at it is for me, you will have access to the link. Because technology changes it changes our forum. On old videos you will need to copy and paste the link.

Technology changes, yuck.
