Never had my first fish of the year be a crappie. They were killing on my fly.

Just in the last month I've caught (with the permission of a village chief, no license required) multiple :

Striped marlin
Yellowfin tuna
Dogtooth tuna
Mahimahi
Spanish mackerel
Wahoo
Giant trevally
Leather jacks
Cod
Coral Trout's
and at least 50 Parrotfish

And we ate and shared all the good ones.... I'm buying beachfront property (or 99 year leasing rather) in Fiji- Might want to start a Fiji Bound message board, CG

I had to resurrect this thread in honor of photo-fish. A lot of his pictures are gone unfortunately. But he posted some amazing cutthroats up at around I think 12,000 ft lake?
