I still have found no one willing to defend why teachers should get paid more than $10.00 an hour. It is imprecise to assert an hourly wage for a group whose salaried pay varies by education level and tenure in district. If you happen to catch kids waving signs with their parents in tow around town, they are trying to get word out that too much money, in their view, is going away from public schools into charter schools.
